10:00 – 11:30 MASTERCLASS with Phedon Papamichael

A talk with Greek cinematographer Phedon Papamichael on his multi-awarded and twice Academy-Award nominated work.

This masterclass is open to the public.

11:30 – 12:30 ΜΑSTERCLASS “Development: An unpredictable journey”

With development expert Isabelle Fauvel (Initiative Film, France)

This masterclass explores the relationship between scriptwriters, directors and producers during the development phase, and offers tips on how to reach the destination safe and sound, at the right moment, producing a healthy project. The masterclass will give an overview of the whole development journey for the different parties involved: director, writer(s) and (co)producers. What are the available tools for development (consultants, labs, workshops, sources for feedback)? What is the right moment to «expose» a project on a market / platform? And, how important is tackling co-production issues early on so that the co-production requirements can serve the process organically, without threatening the project’s DNA? A road map based on concrete cases will be showcased so as to share development experience. A Q&A will follow.
