Danae Stylianou is a documentary producer and director based in Cyprus. After graduating from the University of Westminster in 2004 in Film Production, she went on to direct various shorts and three documentary feature films which screened at various international festivals: Sharing an island (2011), A Haircut Story (2014) and Birth Days (2018). She produces documentary and other audiovisual content for educational platforms, artists and NGOs. She worked for more than 15 years as a casting director for cinema and television in Greece and Cyprus. Since 2011, she has been on the organising team of the two major, state-funded film festivals of Cyprus -Cyprus Film Days IF (2011-) and the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (2011 – 2021). She is currently the festival manager of Lemesos International Documentary Festival, (2012- ). In 2020, she was appointed head of Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days – the industry platform of Cyprus Film Days IF.
