‘Κινηματογραφικές Μέρες Κύπρος 2014’:
Τελετή λήξης & απονομή των βραβείων την Κυριακή 13 Απριλίου 2014
Ολοκληρώνεται την Κυριακή, 13 Απριλίου 2014 το φεστιβάλ «Κινηματογραφικές Μέρες – Κύπρος 2014» με την τελετή λήξης και την απονομή των βραβείων.
Στο Θέατρο Ριάλτο στη Λεμεσό, στις 10μ.μ. θα παρουσιάσει τα βραβεία η τριμελής κριτική επιτροπή αποτελούμενη από τους Martin Schweighofer, Εκτελεστικό Διευθυντή της Αυστριακής Επιτροπής Κινηματογράφου, Δέσποινα Μουζάκη, παραγωγό – σκηνοθέτη και Μania Akbari, ηθοποιό – σκηνοθέτη. Το Κοινό θα απονείμει το Βραβείο κοινού στην ταινία που ξεχώρισε καθόλη τη διάρκεια του φεστιβάλ και που φέτος χορηγεί η Stella Artois. Παράλληλα, φοιτητική κριτική επιτροπή από το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας θα τιμήσει με τη σειρά της μια ταινία με το Φοιτητικό Βραβείο.
Τελευταία ταινία για φέτος θα προβληθεί στις 8μ.μ. το We are the Best, του προκλητικού σκηνοθέτη Lukas Moodyson από τη Σουηδία. Η ταινία είναι μια feelgood εφηβική πανκ ταινία, στην οποία τρεις νεαρές κοπέλες αποφασίζουν να φτιάξουν ένα πανκ γκρουπ για να εκδικηθούν ένα φασαριόζικο χέβι μέταλ γκρουπ μεγαλύτερων τους εφήβων.
Θα ακολουθήσει πάρτυ λήξης στο Art Studio 55, δίπλα από το Θέατρο Ριάλτο, με τους Trio Frisson, με ήχους από Funk, Soul και Hip μουσική.
Παράλληλα, στον κινηματογράφο Ζήνα Πάλλας το φεστιβάλ θα oλοκληρωθεί στις 8μ.μ. με την ταινία του Jim Jarmusch Only lovers left alive, μια ερωτική ιστορία με δύο βαμπίρ, στην οποία πρωταγωνιστούν οι Tom Hiddleston και Tilda Swinton. Μετά την προβολή της ταινίας, θα ακολουθήσει πάρτυ σε φεστιβαλικό κλίμα και στη Λευκωσία.

Cyprus Film Days 2014 concludes on Sunday, April 13th, 2014
and honours independent filmmakers with Awards
Cyprus Film Days, the official international fiction feature film festival of Cyprus, celebrates cinema and honours independent filmmakers on its closing night, on Sunday, April 13th at 10p.m.
The Award Ceremony will be held right after the screening of Lukas Moodyson’s feelgood teenage punk film from Sweden, We are the best . In the film, three young teenagers decide to form a punk group in order to get revenge from a heavy metal group formed by their slightly older teenage schoolmates.
The international Jury, consisting of Martin Schweighofer, Εxecutive Director of the Austrian Film Commission and chairman of the Jury, Despina Mouzaki, producer- director and Μania Akbari, director- actress, will honour filmmakers with the awards. Moreover, Stella Artois is sponsoring this year’s Audience Award with which the viewers will honour the best film, through their votes. A student jury, from the University of Nicosia, will also award one film of their choice for its excellence.
A closing party at Art Studio 55 (next to Rialto theatre), featuring Trio Frisson, with Funk, Soul and Hip music will mark the ending of this year’s Cyprus Film Days.
In Nicosia, the festival will conclude at 8p.m. with Jim Jarmusch’s latest film Only Lovers Left Alive; a love story between two vampires, starring Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton. The screening will be followed by a party, to which all viewers, filmmakers and festival lovers are invited.
