Short CV

Born in 1976 in Moscow. He studied Graphic Arts at the London Institute/the London College of Printing and animation direction at UWE (University of West of England-Bristol School of Animation). He designed posters and forms for theatre and cinema and edited books in Cyprus and internationally. As a set designer, he collaborated with”theater one”. He served as artistic director of the newspaper “Politis” from 2004 to 2006 redesigning the cultural window insert as well as the Daily Edition. He contributed with his creative work to the development of Film Festivals in Cyprus organised by the Ministry of Education and culture. From 2006 to 2008 he collaborated with the” Thessaloniki Film Festival ” designing posters and publications for the 8th, 9th and 10th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. In 2006 he won the award” EBGE “(Greek Graphic Design and Illustration Awards) for cover design of” Gutenberg ” publications in Athens. He represented Cyprus with his graphic work in Biennale and other international presentations and was a member of the jury of Graphic Design Awards and Animation Film Festivals in Cyprus and abroad. In 2002 he founded in collaboration with the” Thessaloniki Documentary Festival “and the” Habi printmaking School “the” 1st small Documentary Festival ” in the village of Platanisteia. Today the Festival focuses on Animated films with the name “Animafest Cyprus” and is the official Festival projection of film Animation in Cyprus. He is a founding member and president of the” Habi printmaking Museum”, member of the International Council of ASIFA (Association International du Film D ‘Animation) as well as an Animation lecturer at the University of Nicosia.
